Premier Equine Air Cooled Boots for eventing were introduced to us by one of our favorite cross country coaches down here in Southern California. They came highly recommended for their fit, durability, and for the level of protection they offer. After a successful trial run with several pairs at Copper Meadows Eventing we decided to carry Premier Equine boots. These are the “Original” Premier Equine Eventing Boots.

Air Cooled Eventing Boots

PEi XC boots air-cool through six vents that allow a constant supply of fresh air flowing past the tendons. Front vents accept cool air in the direction of travel while vents on the side allow heated air to flow through and away from the leg. Vents are small enough to prevent debris from entering boot.

PEi Cross Country Boots Material

Premier Equine air cooled boots for cross country are made of a 2520D ballistic nylon base layer. The second layer of microfiber leather covers the tendon and fetlock area. Microfiber leather developed by Premier Equine in the UK. It as a design to be strong (technically stronger than leather), and flexible with the movement of the horse and waterproof.

The lining is made of EVA, ethylene-vinyl acetate. It’s a synthetic material that’s elastic, slip resistant and extremely durable. It’s soft to the touch and non-irritating. It does not soak up water.

ThinLine Trifecta Cotton Half Pad gets its name from the three elements it’s composed of: The first is a high-quality base derived from hard wearing (tough), US grown cotton. The second element is Ultra ThinLine. This is a microscopic honeycomb type material that absorbs impact and molds to the shape of your horses back. The two elements have been cut and sewn together in a way that creates a wither profile and spine free channel allowing the ThinLine Trifecta Cotton Half Pad to lay across the horses back in a position that will avoid pressure points.

Fitting for an Off the Rack or Custom Saddle

We have tried the ThinLine Trifecta Half Pad under both custom saddles, designed specifically for the horse and rider as well as one size fits most saddles. For the custom saddles, the ThinLine Trifecta Cotton Half Pad is sleek enough that it adds the impact absorption and slip resistance as designed for without altering the saddles custom fit. For one size fits most saddles, the optional shims come in really handy to help with minor saddle fit adjustments.

Measure your saddles panels and compare them to these specs below for the best fit under your saddle. The ThinLine Trifecta Half Pad should be large enough to cover your saddle’s panels.

Small Trifecta Half Pad Dimensions: The bottom cotton pad (that touches the horses back) measures 20″ along the spine and 14.5″ across the widest part of the seat. The Ultra ThinLine panels (sewn onto the top of the cotton base) measure 19.25″ long and 13.5″ across the seat.

Medium Trifecta Half Pad Dimensions: The bottom cotton pad (that touches the horses back) measures 22″ along the spine and 16″ across the widest part of the seat. The Ultra ThinLine panels (sewn onto the top of the cotton base) measure 21.75″ long and 15″ across the seat.

Caring for your ThinLine Trifecta Cotton Half Pad

You can machine wash this ThinLine half pad in a front load washer if you use cold water and a mild detergent – or bleach for white pads. Set the cycle to low with the ThinLine side against itself with the cotton side exposed to the machine. We’re all about replacing defective pads. But, pads that are destroyed by your washing machine won’t be replaced for free… Maybe at a discount, because we feel for you.

Do not put in dryer, let it hang to dry.

The dressage court is simple to set up and move, therefore, making it easy to work with when you need to drag your arena or setup for a show.

Rail Specifications

All pieces of the portable dressage arenas are UV treated, therefore making them very durable with a longer life in all weather conditions. The rails are not hollow inside, but actually ribbed. This feature makes the rails light but strong, durable, and rigid enough not to warp like many PVC pipe dressage arena designs do.

Each rail is 1 .5″ thick and 5.5″ high and measure 4 meters long. When propped up by the line cones (rail supporters), the top of the rail is at the required 12″ mark.

Dressage Arena Delivery

Your new portable dressage arena will show up via freight truck and is built to order by the manufacturing company in southern California. There is minimal assembly required and it will likely take you longer to unpack all the boxes then set up the actual court. Also, instructions on how to set up the portable dressage arenas are included with the shipment.

Removable Shims

Saddle pads with removable shims help with saddle fitting and add an extra layer of impact protection for the horses back. Ecogold includes shims with the purchase of the saddle pad. Their shims use 100% breathable open cell memory foam inserts. These are layered or are used by themselves – or taken out completely. This design keeps you from having to add a 1/2 pad. The shims stay secure with a Velcro closure.

The View from the Top

This top of this pad is similar to the Ecogold Secure Cross Country pad in the way that the materials are designed to keep the saddle in place on the horses back – even on a horse that sweats a lot. The non slip materials are hypoallergenic and cause zero friction or heat.

Boyd Martin Open Front Tendon Boots are part of the Boyd Martin signature line of Majyk Equipe horse boots. The objective of the Boyd Martin stadium jump line is to provide a high quality open front boot specifically for the 3-day eventing market.

The Boyd Martin open front boots are available in fronts (tendon boots) and hinds (fetlock boots). The open front design allows the horse to feel the impact of a pole but provide protection to the leg’s soft tissue including the flexor tendons and the suspensory ligaments.

Flexible, Strong Outer Shell

The Boyd Martin open front tendon boots feature an outer shell that’s made of “Variable Hardness TPU” created by the BASF company. This is basically just plastic that is flexible (TPU stands for Thermoplastic Polyurethanes). To take it a step further, it’s an aromatic TPU, a product that can be used in applications that require flexibility, strength and toughness – perfect for horse boots that need to be flexible while being protective.

Air Shock Protection & Reinforced Strike Zones

Both the Boyd Martin stadium jumping boots (open front tendon boots and open front fetlock boots) feature Air Shock Protection & reinforced strike zones. The Air Shock protection consists of pockets within the boot that when hit, constrict and dissipate the energy away from the strike zone. The flexible TPU pops back into place after a strike. The reinforced strike zones provide an extra layer of protection in vulnerable areas.

Memory Foam Liners

Does your horse’s legs get rubbed raw by your current open front tendon boots? Try an open front boot with memory foam liners. When the boot liners warm up, the memory foam molds to the shape of your horses leg. This custom fit horse boot will not rub a shaved leg, cause any discoloration of the coat or cost you an enormous amount of money like the competition’s memory foam horse boots.

Washing Your Leather Riding Gloves

Put your Neumann riding gloves horse on your hands, apply some mild soap and rub with a little water. Rinse clean and squeeze out the excess water. Lay them out flat to dry. We don’t suggest you put your summer riding gloves in the washing machine or the dryer.

Safety Tested, Eventer Approved

Leveraging the neutrality of an independent laboratory, Equilibrium (manufacturer of Tri-Zone products) safety tested the new Airlite XC boots. Lab results proved that the Airlite XC boots protect against both threats on course: concussion and penetration. Concussions on course come from a horse striking a cross country fence at galloping speed. Threats of penetration are from a horse’s hind hoof over reaching and striking any number or tendons and ligaments on the back of the front leg. These boots protect against both these threats.

Lightweight XC Boots

Adding weight to a horses leg can significantly alter performance. On the cross country course, this alteration can also mean missing your optimum time at the least, damaging your horses leg at the worse. Equilibrium Airlite XC Boots offer a high level of performance without adding significant weight.

Highly Breathable And Flexible Without Letting Dust In

Overheating your horses tendons on course is not such a good thing. Tri-Zone uses the “Airlite System” that has three layers of perforated, flexible materials that allow air to flow while keeping dust and debris out. The outer layer is tough, flexible TPU mesh. This stuff is rip resistant and super breathable. The second layer is a highly breathable filter membrane that blocks dust and debris from the final layer. The inner layer is a shock dampening, high density material. The material has a surface mimicking that of heat sinks on electronics. Overall, the sinks dissipate heat through the multiple air vents that are built into the boot.

They’re an above basic, high quality open front boot made of a tough PU outer shell and breathable neoprene on the inside. Great Fit + Unique Impact Absorbing Strike Zone (orange strip in picture below)

Anatomically designed, the boots have a great fit, front and hind. The outer PU shell (Polyurethane, a polymer composed of a chain of organic units jointed by carbamate links) is flexible but protective. It features ventilation holes that enhance breathability, keeping legs cooler while doing your warmup and stadium round. On the inside of the jump boot there is a unique strike zone that is filled with 4mm of D30, a specially formulated impact absorbing / dampening material. D40 is used in other protective applications including high speed off road motorcycle riding.

Junior Classic Dressage Court

Junior Classic Dressage court is similar in design to the classic dressage arena. The junior classic dressage court is an affordable, all inclusive entry level arena kit. With slightly smaller posts than its big brother, the junior dressage court posts measure 4″ x 4″ x 14″ and the rails are 7/8″ x 3″. The rails have a set height of 12″, which complies with required dressage court specifications. The kit also includes two decorative round ball caps for either side of the gate entrance. Both the standard (20 x 60 meters) and small / short (20 x 40 meters) dressage ring sizes are available.

Dressage Court Installation

The junior classic dressage court is quickly and easily installed with a post anchor system allowing the court to be used as an indoor or outdoor riding arena, even in very windy conditions. The post anchor installation method firmly secures the arena in place, but the posts are still easy to remove in the event you need change locations, maintain the arena footing, etc. After installing your arena, add dressage letters and let the training begin!

Shipping (International Shipping Available)

As a service to our customers, this dressage court will ship for free within the USA. If you reside in Alaska or Hawaii and need the court, no problem but we will have to calculate a shipping price for you at checkout. This is the same process for our international customers. Average shipping prices for Canada are between $250 and $500 depending on where you are. It will take anywhere from 1 week to 1 month for delivery.
