The wool used for these wool quarter sheets is 21 oz, 85/15 blend (85% wool, 15% nylon) by Woolrich, a family owned US company that’s been making wool products since 1830. What Makes A Good Cooler?
The objective of a cooler is to keep your horse warm while drying him off after a hard ride. In the winter months, turning out a wet horse subjects him to possible illness, sore muscles and just a miserable existence. Putting a regular blanket over a wet horse doesn’t help, either. You should use a horse cooler to remove excess moisture before blanketing. A good cooler will keep your horse warm while removing moisture. Wool is the perfect material for retaining heat while removing moisture.
The Custom Wool Cooler Manufacturing Process
The wool for these wool horse coolers is sourced from the Woolrich company, the longest continuously running wool fabric producing mill in the USA. The mill is located in Woorich, Pennsylvania. It’s been there since 1845. The 15 yard “bolts” of wool material are shipped 259 miles north east to Saratoga Horseworks in Amsterdam, New York. Saratoga Horseworks stocks a number of these 15 yard bolts, in multiple colors. When you purchase a custom wool cooler, your order begins the process of cutting, sewing and shipping the final product.

About Majyk Equipe
Majyk Equipe has taken the classic equine bell boots design and improved upon it with their no turn bell boots. The company began with dedicated riders, tired of the bad selection of horse boots that existed about 10 years ago. You could either buy really expensive no turn bell boots that lasted months or you could buy really cheap bell boots that lasted a few weeks. Majyk Equipe provides a solid product right in the middle – a quality horse boot at an affordable price.
We met the Majyk Equipe team at a Southern California 3-day event a few years ago. They were sponsoring the event, promoting their new Boyd Martin boots. Their story was great and their products seemed solid so we decided to invest in the line. Cross country jump flags come two to a pair. High-quality flexible plastic flags sit atop high-quality PVC poles. Jump flags fit into poles using a simple plug system. Therefore, if a pole breaks, you can replace it with the flags by simply drilling a hole into the top of the pole. Jump flags for cross country are made in LA, California. They ship nationwide for free. They’re available with or without PVC poles.

About the PVC Poles
The PVC poles that can ship with the flags are painted white. PCV can be purchased separately but there are lots of markings on it – not suitable for a rated event. You can paint the PCV yourself or you can purchase the pre-painted poles and save some time. Also, the poles we sell have small holes drilled in the top of them. The small hole is required to secure the jump flags with the included hardware.

Plug System
A plug system secures the flagpole to the XC jump flag. The system consists of just three parts – a plastic plug, a screw, and the flag itself. The flag fits into the plug. The plug with the flag then inserts into the top of the PCV. A small screw secures the flag/plug assembly to the pole. Therefore, if the pole ever breaks, replace it using the flag/plug system.

Each set of flags with poles comes with four quick release pole holders. A set of screws come included – one wood screw and one screw for use on threaded jumps. Screws for the plug system also included.

About Tifosi Lenses
When it comes to buying sunglasses, it’s all about the lenses. Tifosi lenses are made of scratch resistant, shatterproof polycarbonate, they don’t offer a glass option. All their lenses are decentered to nearly eliminate distortion. Veloce lenses have the ability to switch around as conditions change. All Tifosi lenses block 100% UVA and UVB radiation.

Changing The Lenses
Finally, changing Tifosi Veloce lenses is pretty easy. Swap for any of the lenses in the original sunglasses set or replacement lenses is available for purchase separately. But, be sure to change the lenses one at a time. Click on the “Lens Change” tab for more details.
About Tifosi Veloce Frames
The Veloce considers this frame an “open lense” frame. The frame covers the top and a bit down the nose of the lens but that’s it. The bottom of the Veloce frame stays open. Tifosi uses Grilamid TR-90 for the Veloce frame. This material is a type of highly transparent nylon has to regard for its ability to bend without breaking.

Dressage arena parts for the Burlingham Sports portable Wellington Arena. Parts used for the Sundance Arena are built by Premier Equine. Corner cones and line cones available individually. Corner cones hold two intersecting rails in the corner of your dressage arena. The line cones can hold either one rail to keep it from sagging or connecting two rails together. Use line cones at the entrance of the arena. Also, all parts, including the rails, are UV stabilized, shatterproof, and impact resistant.

Corner Cones
Corner cones are used on the corners of your arena. In other words, connect two rails or pipes at a 90-degree angle. Typically 4 used / arena. Individual shipping dimensions are 15x15x12, 3 pounds.
Line Cones
Line cones used for connecting two rails or pipes (sit on top of cones) in a straight line. They also help a single rail or pipe stay true (not warped or drooping). Also, a set of line cones are typically at the entrance of the dressage court.

Outer Shell with “Forever Clean” Coating
Lightweight, Flexible and nearly Impenetrable
Bonded thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) material makes up the outside of the Color Elite Eventing Boots. TPU is a raw material that’s great for protective horse boots due to its shore durometer. It’s lightweight, flexible, and resistant to penetration by things like cross country fences. Thus, it’s the perfect first layer of defense for a horse’s leg. “Forever Clean” coats the outer shell. The coating is hydrophobic which means that it repels mud and water. This helps you keep your boots looking new for longer.
Majyk Equipe cross country boots come with a flexible strike plate. The strike plate “hardens” when the boot is struck then it returns to a neutral position. The boots are also equipped with two guards. One on the back of the front boots (tendon protection) and one in the front of the hind boots (cannon bone protection). In addition, a layer of Arti-Lage artificial cartilage foam lines the area around the strike zones. ARTi-LAGE is a shock absorbing material that mimics the human cartilage (biomimicry). BEFORE the flexible strike plate engages, the material absorbs and distributes almost 95% of impact energy.

Sweet iron bevel bit with copper lozenge is a mild leverage bit. The sweet iron and copper combination increases acceptance and salivation. The oval lozenge is sometimes preferred over a flat French link because there are no possibly uncomfortable edges on a lozenge.

Materials (Sweet Iron and Copper)
Sweet iron is in horse bits around the world for a long time. Sweet iron then gets cold rolled carbon steel that hardened. The theory behind it is that it encourages salivation and bit acceptance.
The copper lozenge and copper inlets on the inside of the bit (facing the inside of the horse’s mouth) are there for salivation and bit acceptance.
Showjumper William Funnell goes as far as to back the claim that by combining the sweet taste of iron with the sour tang of copper, horses who are strong tense or heavy in the hand become lighter and more responsive.
Bevel Bit Design
When looking at the sweet iron bevel bit with copper lozenge, the first thing you should notice is the half-moon shapes at the top and bottom of the bit rings. That’s where the cheekpieces connect (top) and the reins connect (bottom). When pressure applies to the reins, the bevel bit rotates, sending a bit of pressure to the poll and the rest to the bit itself.
Copper Lozenge
The two joints (one on each side of the link) reduce the nutcracker effect of a regular jointed snaffle. The design allows the rider independent control over each side of the horse’s mouth. Rein pressure evenly distributes across the bars of the mouth.
They call the center of the bit a Lozenge made out of copper. It has an oval shape and preferred over a regular, flat French link. The oval Lozenge is sometimes more accepted by the horse because there are no thin edges that could be uncomfortable.

12 Steps To The Best Horse Racing Whip
You can have a crop with 1 or 3 colors with any popper, a degree of flex, length, and thickness. If you have questions while building your stick, email or call us.
1) 1st Color (3/8″) – Optional
This is a thick, 3/8 inch wide stripe. This stripe is available in 21 different colors. It’s optional because you can either use it or “skip it”. If you want your whole custom riding crop to be one of these 25 colors, select “Skip It” from the drop-down menus for the 2nd color and 3rd color options.
2) 2nd Color (1/4″) – Optional
This is medium, 1/4″ wide stripe. This stripe is available in 25 different colors. It’s optional because you can either use it or “skip it”. If you want your whole custom crop to be one of these 25 colors, select the desired color from the drop-down then select “Skip It” from the drop-down menus for the 1st and 3rd color.
3) 3rd Color (Pinstripe) – Optional
Pinstripes come in 29 different colors. It’s optional because you can either use the pinstripe or “skip it” and go with the above 2 colors (or just one). If you want your whole custom horse crop to be one of these 29 colors, select the desired color from the drop-down then select “Skip It” from the other two color options.
1/2/3 Stripe Orientation – Required
This is your opportunity to let us know how you would like the stripes on your new crop to be orientated. If you want the whole crop to be a single color, select “1 Color Only”. For 2 colors, select “2 Colors”. 2 colors go side by side, pretty simple. For 3 colors – you have a few options. 1st / 2nd / 3rd puts the 3/8″ thick stripe first, the 1/4″ stripe second then the pinstripe. The other options follow this model. If you don’t see what you want, shoot us an email or simply add a note to your order at checkout. Note: there are some variations that make a weak crop so we won’t be able to build that variation. We’ll give you options if that rare choice is made.
4) Popper Style (3 to choose from)
3 popper styles to choose from. We also have a traditional popper option. Note: You will be able to choose the overall length of your crop – this INCLUDES the length of the popper.
5) Select your Popper’s color (14 to choose from)
Patent leather soft poppers come in 4 colors. Original leather soft popper comes in any color as long as it’s black. Cordura soft poppers come in 5 colors.
6) Overall Length
The length of your horse racing whip includes the length of the popper. If you’re using this horse racing whip for three-day eventing, be sure to keep the length of your crop within the USEA 30″ length rule. Our default is 27″ long – this seems to be the most popular length for adults.
7) Handle Thickness (Thin – Thick)
Personal preference typically depending on how big the hands of the crop user are.
8) Shaft Thickness (Thin – Thick)
This will add weight to your stick. The thicker the shaft, the heavier the whip. We typically see people purchasing a Medium-Thick crop shaft. This doesn’t mean the crop is “weighted”.
9) Degree of Flex (Soft – Stiff)
How do you like your stick to bend? The Medium-Soft is the most selected flex.
10-11) Feathers & Feather Colors
Feathers are pieces of leather below the popper. Mostly for looks but adds a bit more material to the strike surface. They also make a nice sound when flying through the air towards their intended target. If you don’t want feathers, select “No Thanks” from the “Include Feathers” option & “No Feathers” for Feather Color.

12) Crop Base
Two options: Large cap end “hand stop” or the more traditional small cap/table leg stopper. Most people select the hand stopper.
Base on the left is called the “Small Cap” and the one on the right is the “Large Cap End” which doubles as a hand stop.

Add your name, barn name, team name, or whatever to your personalized crop. There is no limit to the number or letters/characters/numbers but the more you add, the smaller the font. We don’t charge for this service. The personalization is printed on water-resistant paper and secured to your custom crop with a high quality, clear heat-shrink material. This is NOT embroidered.

Benefits of a Soft Popper for Eventers
Eventers can use either soft poppers or standard poppers – both are USEA legal. Check out section 7, EV114.3 – Whips. Pay attention to page 30 –“If a horse is marked by the whip, e.g. the skin is broken, its use is excessive”. If your horse’s skin is super sensitive, this soft popper option may be the best option.
