The sturdy elastic on the shoulders ensure the absolute maximum range of motion even over the most gnarly cross country jumps. The elastic is pretty easy to keep clean, too. As a solid neutral color, it’s always looking show fresh. Similar to the Antares elastic breastplate, the Vespucci model has a padded “U” shaped yoke at the chest. This helps distribute pressure evenly. As for adjustability, the shoulders, chest piece, and running attachment are all able to be adjusted several inches to get the optimal fit for a narrow OTTB or a big-boned warmblood.

The elastic breastplate made by Nunn Finer is very similar to this breastplate made by Vespucci. We believe that the Vespucci has better quality leather and elastic which will last longer. When comparing prices, the Vespucci is about $100 more but comes with the running martingale attachment.
