Product Description
 Hit Air Vest Buckle Extender
Hit Air Vest Buckle Extender adds up to 7 inches (17.78 cm) to the chest belt of Hit-Air vests and up to 6.25 inches (15.875 cm) to the waist belt. This buckle extender works with the existing adjustments on the airbag vest to help the rider fit the vest over a required standard hard safety vest.
- Extends Hit Air buckles by 7 inches (chest) & 6.25 inches (waist)
- Not included with new Hit Air equestrian vest
 Who Needs One?
Anyone with a larger frame OR whose standard safety vest is a bit bulky will require this buckle extender. This includes MOST men – including lean, 6’2″ guys that weigh 180 lbs.
Warning: Choking Hazard
Want to know how to fit your airbag vest correctly? The best test is to put it on over your regular vest, snap the buckles and pop the CO2 cartridge. If you choke, it’s too tight – don’t worry, in about 1.5 minutes your vest will be deflated and you will be able to breathe again. To avoid choking, try putting a fist between your hard vest and the airbag vest (while wearing both). If the buckles allow you to fit that fist, you should be good to go. If you can’t fit a fist between your standard vest and the airbag vest, you may need to pony up the dollars for a Hit Air vest buckle extender (which most people probably prefer to choking).
Not Included With New Vest
MOST people who buy the Hit Air Equestrian Airbag Vest will fit in it just fine without the buckle extender. We would love for Hit Air to simply extend the buckles so this piece is not even needed! It’s one of those profit centers for the brand though. They are able to sell 90% of the vests without the extension, saving them money for production – which they actually do pass along to the customer (considering the cost of the Hit Air vest vs. the Point 2 vest).
