We are often asked “which compressor voltage do I get” – the answer to that depends on the country you live in. US & Canada are both on 110 while Mexico and many other countries are on their own programs. The specifications of the compressors we use are as follows:

• Power Output: 1/8 horse power
• Pressure Output: 20-30 PSI depending on the amount of water (water level)  you have in the boots. This is plenty of output to push air through ice water that’s above the horses knees.
• Noise Level: 47 dbs (that’s low!)

A trick to keeping air flowing equally between both boots is to make sure the water level is EQUAL in both boots. Uneven water will keep air from flowing equally.

Why even have the air flowing? Air flowing through the ice water keeps a thermo-cline from developing around your horses legs. Basically, it keeps the water around the horses legs colder by eliminating the warm water that will develop around the horses legs caused by body heat.

Therapy Trick:

Jacks whirlpool therapy boots + Epsom salt helps to further reduce those aches and pains related to strenuous work. You can also mix in a small bottle of Sore No More… if your horse could purr, it would.
