Red Barn Pebble Grip Rubber Reins are super flexible, made of actual Biothane. These reins are available in several variations you can choose from by using the drop down menu. If the variation you need is marked out of stock / backorder available, please allow a couple weeks for delivery. American made Biothane reins are flexible and super soft, just like how your hands should be on your horses mouth.

Biothane

The brand name Biothane covers all coated webbing products made by BioThane Coated Webbing Corp, an American company. It’s essentially a polyester webbing that is used in many other reins with a TPU or PVC coating that makes it more durable, waterproof, easy to clean.  When you compare to leather, BioThane^® is more durable, cleanable, stronger and easier to maintain. Under normal use, BioThane^® will long outlast leather and nylon. Under normal use your reins will not get sticky or tacky. It can get sticky or tacky if it is exposed to certain chemicals like DEET.

Multiple Lengths

We carry these rubber reins in three different lengths to help you avoid reins that are too long. Extra long reins can form a dangerous situation for horse and rider. For long reins that you need to shorten up quickly, try tying a knot in the end to take up the extra material. It’s easy to tie a knot in these reins due to the materials being so flexible. For small children or those with very small hands, unbuckle the reins and tie each end into a knot to avoid a large knot, then re-buckle the reins together.
