Majyk Equipe Open Front Boots

Majyk Equipe redesigned their Majyk Equipe Open Front Boots. The new Vented Infinity Jump Boot features a protective outer shell with vents, dual strike guards, and a soft, bio-foam interior. These open front boots are essential for daily training and are classy enough for the show ring.

Protective Outer Shell with Dirt Resistant Vents

The BASF brand (German manufacturing) TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) provides protection for the fetlocks and tendons. BASF is a top shelf TPU.  It is selected for its ability to be strong, durable and flexible. Selecting this type of flexible TPU for the new Vented Infinity Jump Boots prevents the boot from interfering with the movement of the horse. There are eight vents on the front boots and four vents on the hind boots.  These provide adequate airflow even on the hottest days. A micro mesh filter over the vents also allows airflow without allowing dirt and dust into the boot.

Strike Guards Designed for Freedom of Movement

An improvement over the original Majyk Equipe open front boots is the outer strike guard. The new Vented Infinity Series have a dual hardness outer strike guard. Majyk engineered this strike guard with a raised outer core (you can see it). This material is hard, protective but shock absorbing. The inside of the strike guards that run along your horse’s tendons and across its fetlocks are made of ARX.  This is a soft and flexible dilatant material that hardens when hit, diffusing energy across a wider area. Immediately after impact, ARX returns to its soft form, allowing freedom of movement with your horse. This engineering (magic) reduces friction and overcomes the inflexibility problems.  Overall, these are common with most show jump boots. 

Soft, Bio Foam Interior

On the inside of the boots is a breathable and also soft bio foam. This liner sits directly on your horse’s leg.  Because of this, it’s designed to be hypoallergenic and antifungal. The bio-foam is super soft with a texture that prevents the boot from slipping. Majyk Equipe bio-foam is eco-friendly and thus, does not contain any neoprene.

The purpose of an open front jump boot is to help protect your horse’s tendons and fetlocks. The open front means there is not any padding.  This allows the horse to feel a rub enough to (hopefully) pick his feet up over jumps! If you are looking for something with a protective closed front, try the Boyd Martin XC boots or dressage boots.
