Longe Surcingle with Sheepskin and Girth

Made of high quality, medical grade sheepskin this longe surcingle with sheepskin and girth is the most comfortable longe equipment for your horse. A longe surcingle is simply a band with rings that is secured to your horse with a girth. The Christ Lammfelle lunging belt features 12, stainless steel rings to connect lunging accessories like side reins. The included sheepskin girth features a single stainless steel D ring in the center along with roller buckles to connect the surcingle’s billets. Comes in two lengths, pony and full. Pony size longe surcingle measures a minimum of 145cm and a max of 180, depending on which holes you use. The included girth in pony size is 65cm but you can use any girth with it you want. The full size surcingle has a size range of 175cm to 210cm, depending on which holes you use. It fits anything from an average TB to a large WB. The included girth size for the full size is 75cm but you can use any girth.

Sizing your Lungeing Surcingle

Our sheepskin surcingles come in two lengths, Pony and Full… AKA warmblood. Each surcingle comes with a matching girth. The Pony size comes with a 65cm girth. The pony size surcingle fits between 145cm and 180cm, depending on where you attach it. The Full size or “WB” size includes a 75cm girth. The full size surcingle fits between 175cm and 210cm depending on where you attach it. In our experiencing, the full size fits everything from a full size Tb to a decent size Wb. These are pretty adjustable.

Other Equipment for Longeing

Longeing, or alternatively spelled lungeing, is a great way to exercise your horse without riding him. You and your horse will need the training and equipment necessary before attempting this valuable skill. For the training, we suggest contacting your local US Pony Club. For the equipment, you have come to the right place.

• Long Line (also called the longe). We carry flat cotton webbing long lines that are 1 to 1.5 inches wide
• Longe whip with long handle, about 6 feet overall length
• Longe cavesson which is a special headstall with padded noseband and rings to connect the longe
• A regular snaffle bridle
