About Ice Horse FirstIce Reusable Ice Packs
FirstIce reusable ice packs are different from your typical ice packs. They “puff up” like a snow cone when you freeze them. They’re able to provide uniform compression and coverage to reduce inflammation and heat because they comfort to the leg and you’re able to apply pressure to them. They’re different from ice because when compressed to the leg, they provide total coverage unlike ice that has gaps and will loose compression as it melts… into a puddle… on the floor of your barn. They also stay cold for about 2 hours and only take about 3 hours to go from room temp to freezing. FirstIce is reusable for about 25 uses until they break or get hard, loosing their most valuable properties. If heat is recommended, follow the easy instructions on the FirstIce pack.
- Conforms to the leg, able to be compressed – and stay compressed
- Cold lasts for about 2 hours, re-freezes in about 3 hours
- No mess like regular ice
- Typically lasts for 25 uses before breaks or they stop puffing up and just get hard like regular reusable ice packs
