Gatorbootz bell boots are a new innovation designed for an easy on/off rubber bell boot that won’t fall apart. The neck of the Gatorbootz bell boot does not chafe the pastern. The latching mechanism is easy for you to remove, but impossible for your horse.

The magic begins with a single piece polymer body. The polymer is much more durable when compared to the gumboots you have probably worked with. The single piece design means there is nothing to rip off – like velcro pieces. Holding the Gator boot together is a simple latching mechanism that is easy for you to operate but impossible for your horse to unhook.

Working the Latch System

It may take some practice but once you get it, working the latch can be done with just two fingers. To open, use your left hand to hold the boot, red latch facing you. Position your left hand around the neck/top of the boot. With your right hand, pull down and out on the other side of the latch at a 45-degree angle. The first few times you do this it’s going to be rough but the boot will “break in” and become easier.

Closing around your horse’s hoof is easy – just be sure to do it with the buckle disengaged.
