Ice Horse Knee to Ankle Wraps

Ice Horse Knee to Ankle Wraps are a top quality equine ice boot that offers full, 360 coverage coverage for the front legs. Six FirstIce reusable ice packs (included) cover each leg from the fetlock up to and including the knee for a full, complete uniform cold (or heat) compression of the leg. Ice Horse knee to ankle wrap sets are left / right leg specific and include six ice packs per leg. Ice Horse Knee to Ankle wrap built from no-slip, stretchy material, which allows excess moisture to escape. Keeping the wrap closed are several Vecro closures with tabs for easy removal.

What Are FirstIce, Reusable Ice Packs?

FirstIce brand name owned by Ice Horse. These ice packs “puff up” like a snow cone when frozen making them unique. Once puffed, easiley molded around a horse’s leg; therefore, much easier than standard gel ice packs and even more closely molded then regular chucks of ice. FirstIce stays cold for about 2 hours at 75 degrees. When applied to the horse, they will stay cold without needing to be rotated, for over an hour – plenty of time to ice 2 horses using your Ice Horse knee to ankle wrap set. Follow the simple instruction on the ice pack for heating.

The only problem with these packs is that they only last about 20 freezes / thaws. 20 cycles is about the life span of the ice packs; crystals fuse forming a hard block and no longer can mold around the leg. Therefore, this is why we also sell Ice Horse replacement packs.
