Eggbutt Lozenge Snaffle

Eggbutt lozenge snaffle made by Shires Equestrian is built with stainless steel and a brass alloy mouth piece. This is a dressage legal bit that should be in every trainer’s quiver of assorted bits. Eggbutt cheeks are zero leverage (snaffles) that help prevent lip pinches and reduce / dampen the amount of unintentional vibration from riders hand to the horses mouth. Lozenge mouth pieces are double jointed, they distribute pressure over both the tongue and bars of the mouth to encourage acceptance and contact.

Measurements

Lozenge mouthpiece measures 13mm thick across all sizes. Cheek piece height changes from 55mm in the 4.5 and 5inch bit sizes to 75mm in height for the 5.5 and 6in bit sizes.
