Product Description
Sheepskin Poll Guard
The Christ Lammfelle equine Poll Guard is durable for everyday use but discreet enough for the show ring and is also known as the “competition poll guard”. Soft sheepskin provides protection and evenly distributes pressure across the horse’s poll. Fits under the crownpiece of every bridle we have tried. Offers protection from rubbing and distributes pressure evenly across the sensitive poll area when pressure is applied to the noseband. We’re not guaranteeing a padded guard will help get your horse on the bit and provide correct flexion, but when you score all 9s at your next event with this aid, be sure to give us a shout out.

Equine Poll Guard Fitting
The Christ Lammfelle Guard is 12.5 inches long (31.75 cm) and of all the bridles we’ve tried with it, we’ve yet to find a crown piece it does not fit. Several of our customers have purchased this Christ competition Poll Guard after purchasing the Acavallo Pro Gel poll guard because the gel poll guard was too short (20cm long) and as a result, didn’t distribute the pressure evenly.
Christ Lammfelle products NEVER bleached

Since Day 1 of starting our business, we have been carrying the full line of Christ Lammfelle sheepskin products. They are simply the best value for our super savvy customers.
Every sport and industry has it’s own “language”. You may know this poll guard (Eventer language) as a poll sheepskin cover (dressage land language). Known by the manufacturing company as the Competition Poll Guard. All three names are talking about the same thing.
Proper Care
Be sure to not use bleach on your Christ lambskin products. Washing machine and dryer safe. We suggest using Woolite or a leather specific cleaner like MELP, a specialized formula designed for washing merino wool. Once washed, you can dry your poll cover in the dryer on low. But, if at any point you wish to restore the loft (“fluffiness”) to the wool, brush the dry the guard with a with a wire pet brush.

Great product for horses with sensitive skin!!! I have a 17.1hh TB with a large block head and this fit both his dressage and jump bridles. This product was a life saver during the summer when his hair was not as thick and he rubbed really easily. Great service from the shipper as well!
