Product Description
Bucket Straps
Bucket straps made of nylon with heavy-duty hardware. First of all, almost all straps for holding horse buckets are pretty much the same. Like many out there, these are made of woven nylon. There is a difference between woven nylon and knit nylon (more of that below). Basically, for this application, the woven nylon material used is a better choice.

Woven Nylon Bucket Straps Vs. Knit Nylon
Since we are comparing the two different methods of bringing threads of nylon together, it’s best to start with the threads themselves. You have it on nearly all your horse blankets, a tough and rather lightweight synthetic polymer. As much as we would like to get into Chem 201, we’ll just leave it at that.
These bucket straps use woven nylon. Their fibers of nylon are sewn together using a machine that criss-crosses the fibers, therefore creating a more durable material. Woven nylon uses the same material but won’t stretch and especially relevant, it’s a stronger way to sew fabrics.
Making a bucket strap out of knit nylon would produce a soft, stretchy material. Great for clothing but not so great for a strap to hold buckets.
Alternatives to Buying Bucket Straps Online
First of all, we don’t want to talk you out of spending money with us. Saying that though, we are riders too and pinch pennies. Using leftover bailing twine works fine for holding buckets to fences and temp stalls. Simply using a double ended snap (snap side in!) works, too. We prefer locking carabiners at home, though.
