Product Description
Amerigo Jump Girth
Amerigo Jump Girth features a new design with two solid features. The first feature is classic elbow cutouts to increase the quality of fit and comfort for the horse. The elbow cut outs reduce chafing of the sensitive skin around the elbows and allow more freedom of movement. This is not a stud protection girth.
The second new feature is the long plate that runs from the horse’s rib cage to the sternum. This design decreases the pressure on the ribs and transfers it to the sternum and pectoral muscles. With less pressure on the ribs, the horse’s diaphragm is able to expand and contract more fully, encouraging easier breathing. This design is fully appreciated by the horse when landing off a big jump that pushes his guts forward. With the Amerigo Jump Girth, less pressure is on the diaphragm so the horses breathing is not altered on landing. A jumping girth with less pressure keeps him in rhythm and looking to the next feature on course.
- Elbow cutouts increase quality of fit and comfort, resulting in better movement
- Long plate runs from rib cage to sternum. This pate reduces pressure on diaphragm, encouraging more natural breathing and rhythm when landing off big features on course – this is not designed for stud protection
- High quality, flexible rubber makes up the plate of Vibram
- The other side (horse side) is soft calfskin.
- 3-Ply double elastic (elastic on both sides of girth) with split ends to increase flexibility with the billet system on your saddle
- Low profile roller buckles for less bulk under riders leg
- 2Â breastplate attachments:
- Low profile breastplate buckle attachment (less likely to catch a stud), attached with nylon
- Stainless D-ring attached by nylon making it less likely to tear off over time
- High quality, soft calf leather, and durable construction will last a lifetime
- Made in Italy
Otherwise Known As…
Eventers and show jumpers have different vocabularies – add in a manufacturing company from Italy and a US-based distributor and there is some loss in translation. We simply call this jumping girth the Amerigo Jump Girth. The distributor calls this girth the Protector Jump girth With Vibram. Either way, it’s a great girth for a saddle with standard billets.
